WiFi is the first thing hotel guests want when they check in. It is also one of the most common questions front desk staff answer all day.
A WiFi QR code in every room eliminates that question completely.
How it works
A WiFi QR code has your network name and password encoded in it. Guests scan it with their phone and their device automatically connects. No typing, no calling the front desk, no hunting for a card with the password on it.
How to set it up
Create a WiFi QR code at AQRHub. Enter your network name (SSID) and password. Download the QR code.
Print it and put it somewhere visible in every room. A small framed card on the nightstand or desk works well. You can also put it on the welcome card guests receive at check-in.
What to do if your WiFi password changes
WiFi QR codes are static, meaning the credentials are baked into the code. If your password changes you will need to create a new QR code and reprint the cards. This is worth keeping in mind when deciding how often to change your network password.
Other places to put it
Lobby: A QR code at the front desk or in the seating area so guests can connect as soon as they arrive.
Restaurant or bar: If your hotel has a restaurant, a WiFi QR code on the table so dining guests can connect easily.
Conference rooms: A separate QR code for the meeting room network if you have a dedicated business WiFi.
